Space Drinks
Kaori Nakamura, the employee of the beverage company Sapporo Breweries Ltd. Japan, is showing off a bottle of Space Barley, in Tokyo. Drinks are claimed as the world’s first beer that is formulated from the flown materials into outer space.
Barley seeds (a kind of wheat for making beer) used comes from the Russian station in space. The drink is called Space Barley. No mention of whether the drink is ever tested for an alien (strange creature from outer space, like in the movie) to get drunk. Actually, yesterday (December 7, 2009) Sapporo announced a special edition of inundated order 250 boxes (each containing six bottles) of Space Barley.
