Shakira in Hope for Haiti
The sexy singer, Shakira, plans to build a school for child victims of the earthquake in Haiti, as ContactMusic quoted on January 22, 2010. She wanted to help the earthquake victims in Haiti for long term.
To make it happen, she has been working with the architect, the Barefoot Foundation. Shakira hoped, the school will be equal to the school that she founded in her home country, Columbia. The school provides instruction, nutrition, and counseling for children in need.
The latin singer wrote in its website, “There is great need for immediate help to victims in Haiti, but also help the long-term reconstruction. Therefore, we do a little something to help rebuild Haiti, and give children the opportunity to learn and growing. When we educate children, we empower the community. Now, Haiti needs our helping hand.”
The chanter of Sea Wolf is also featured in a charity of Hope for Haiti which was held on Friday, January 22, 2010. The event will be hosted by Hollywood actor, George Clooney. Other Hollywood celebrities will also be present to contribute to the charity.
