Do you know? If 100,000 personal computers shut down immediately as soon as the hours of work done, then more than 2680 kilowatt electrical energy would be saved each day.
The number is equivalent with 3562 lbs reducing emissions of carbon dioxide that is produced by 107 cars in the street. This was conveyed by Ajay Mohan, Marketing Vice President of Product HP Personal Systems Group, in Green IT campaign in China some time ago.
